Building cleaning goes digital
Under the title "Connected Cleaning", Kärcher is increasingly focusing on digital services for commercial cleaning. A platform is designed to ensure greater transparency in work processes and machine usage. The first element of the new platform is Kärcher Fleet: this fleet management system is based on the installation of a mobile radio unit in the cleaning machine. It regularly sends extensive machine data, from localization to operating times, battery status and maintenance status, to an online customer portal, where this data is presented in a clear graphic format. The site manager can use this information to increase machine utilization or reduce downtimes. The second element - Kärcher Manage - enables cleaning processes to be recorded using a barcode scanner. This makes it possible to determine the effort required for each type of room (office, corridor, stairwell) to which specific cleaning activities are assigned. As a further option, Kärcher Manage enables the facility manager to check the quality of the work using a smartphone app: the cleanliness of the individual rooms can be assessed using a simple color system.
