"In view of demographic change, we expect automated solutions to become even more important in logistics," says Jens Christian Schmale, Managing Director of AM-Automation. In research and development, the company relies on close cooperation with universities, among other things. "Robotics and control technology play a major role in applied research, and as a company we can contribute a lot of practical knowledge to corresponding projects," says Schmale. The know-how results, among other things, from the experience that AM-Automation has already gained with the integration of AutoStore systems in numerous countries.

With the opening of a branch in Dortmund, AM-Automation now wants to drive forward cooperation with university partners in a targeted manner. "The Technical University of Dortmund has a high potential of specialized knowledge, in electrical engineering and information technology as well as in logistics," says Jens Christian Schmale. Cooperation with the local technical school could help to meet the rapidly growing demand for specialist personnel.
