Marvin Meyke,

A storage and retrieval machine for floor-level loading and unloading

According to Dambach, it has succeeded in reducing the requirements for automated storage systems to a minimum. The resulting storage and retrieval machine (SRM) is called Compact.

For example, existing forklift racking systems can continue to be used without any problems. Pallets can be loaded and unloaded at floor level using a rotary swivel push fork, just like in manual warehouse operation. The lower approach dimension is reduced to 0 mm, eliminating lost free space at the lowest racking level. The tilting device of the load handling device also makes it possible to handle pallets with a closed base and reduce the aisle width. The implementation of a consistent lightweight design also enables the Compact to be used in existing halls on floor panels with a comparatively low load capacity. Thanks to the innovative chassis, even narrow-aisle forklift trucks could theoretically continue to access the aisles.
