Scania wants to present itself sustainably at the IAA 2018
Hanover, 25.06.2018 - "At this year's IAA, Scania is being carried by the wave of success that our new truck generation has triggered. The final launch phase in Europe was only completed in June," says Alexander Vlaskamp, Senior Vice President, Head of Scania Trucks. "We are demonstrating in both the truck and bus segments that we are fully committed to sustainable solutions and services that offer our customers the best overall economy."
Scania trucks: Scania plans to exhibit seven different trucks for different transport applications at its stand in Hall 12 and three more in the outdoor area.
Scania buses: Scania will also be presenting three buses on the stand, of which the Scania Interlink MD is equipped with an LNG driveline. Scania buses will also be on display in the outdoor area. All vehicles have powertrains that have been developed for renewable fuels or alternative solutions that can already make a sustainable contribution to climate protection.
"In addition to the many new products that we have already introduced over the past two years, I can promise that Scania will be coming up with more surprises at the IAA," Vlaskamp continues. "We will be presenting both new vehicles and new services that have never been seen before. Scania is now concentrating on forward-looking solutions. A turnaround is already evident and electric and self-driving vehicles will soon be in use. Practical solutions that increase the profitability of our customers are therefore becoming increasingly important."
