Markus Doerr becomes COO at StreetScooter
Markus Doerr is joining the management team at e-commercial vehicle manufacturer StreetScooter. The former automotive industry consultant will take up the newly created position on July 1st.
He will be responsible for production, purchasing and quality at the Deutsche Post subsidiary. Most recently, Doerr was Managing Director of the automotive engineering division of the engineering and technology consultancy Ricardo plc. with responsibility for Europe, India, Japan and Korea. Prior to that, he built up the global strategy consulting business at Ricardo.
Jörg Sommer, CEO of StreetScooter GmbH, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to convince Markus Doerr to join StreetScooter. He is a proven automotive expert with deep insights into international production processes and product development, purchasing and supply chain management as well as quality management and internationalization strategies. Markus Doerr will enrich our team and, as COO, will support StreetScooter in entering the next growth phase."
In addition to Markus Doerr as COO, Jörg Sommer (CEO), Arndt Stegmann (CFO) and Fabian Schmitt (CTO) form the company's management team. Michael Neuenfeldt has been responsible for marketing and sales since the beginning of April.
