Kamag presents two variants of the Weasel
Kamag Transporttechnik from Ulm will also be exhibiting at transport logistic. The specialist for heavy-duty and special vehicles will be exhibiting the new generation of the Wiesel swap body lift truck in Hall A6 Stand 103/204.
The maneuverable pallet truck is designed for the fast handling and transport of swap bodies within a logistics yard or terminal. More agile than a weasel, it scores points with its flexible adaptation to different parking heights and lengths, high driving safety and low fuel consumption. To date, Kamag Transporttechnik, which is part of the Transporter Industry International (TII) Group, has sold over 2,000 Wiesel vehicles, mainly in the DACH region. The Wiesel is already on the road with major logistics companies in countries such as France, Italy and Poland and is set to be used in other European countries in the future.
"With the Wiesel, we are helping our customers to organize their intralogistics processes more efficiently and economically," says Jürgen Dirr, Area Sales Manager and responsible for the swap body pallet truck business at Kamag. The market-leading solution for in-house handling is constantly being optimized. There is now an emission-free version with an electric drive. In addition, driverless, freely navigating vehicles are being piloted by customers.
Market leader Kamag is presenting its newly developed Wiesel driver's cab at transport logistic. The cab, designed by Kamag together with a development partner and customer, is "best in class" in terms of driver ergonomics and user-friendliness. The focus was on driver comfort. New features of the Kamag cab include an enlarged windshield for optimum all-round visibility and maximum access height. A large number of ergonomic features, such as the mounting option for data terminals and practical storage options, round off the benefits.
Kamag will be presenting the two customized versions of the Wiesel at the transport logistic trade fair. On the one hand, the version of the swap body lift truck with the Mercedes-Benz cab, which has been tried and tested for over two decades, and on the other, the new Wiesel variant. The official sales launch for the additional version of the Wiesel will be at the transport logistic trade fair.
