There, there, there's the freight!
BPW Innovation Lab launches cargo tracking system CargoTracer
"There, there, there" is now the answer to the most frequently asked question in transport and logistics: Where is the delivery? The BPW InnovationLab is kicking off the launch of the innovative CargoTracer freight tracking system with a catchy tune - and a test offer for the IAA: shippers can now test prototypes of the BPW CargoTracer for three months. But it's not just freight that can be digitally networked.
Never again the question: "Where is our delivery?" Never again: "When will it arrive?". A small, robust box answers the most frequently asked questions in transportation - and puts an end to the telephone odyssey between recipients, shippers, dispatchers, freight forwarders and drivers. The BPW CargoTracer is attached to the goods carrier or the freight and transmits the position and other data such as temperature or vibrations to an online portal and, if required, directly to ERP and merchandise management systems such as SAP. Because the tracker uses a new type of radio data transmission based on ultra narrowband technology, the system is so inexpensive that it makes delivery tracking affordable for many applications for shippers and freight forwarders for the first time. A SIM card is not required and the battery lasts up to two years.
The benefits of the product go far beyond transparency in the supply chain: as has already been demonstrated in initial customer projects, the tracker also brings transparency to load carrier management: it is finally possible to see where the many load carriers are actually on the road and how they are being used. As a result, the number and thus the working capital can be reduced and fewer new purchases are necessary. The BPW Innovation Lab, which developed the CargoTracer, is now launching an attractive test offer before the market launch in December: shippers can test prototypes of the CargoTracer for three months.
BPW will be demonstrating the CargoTracer for the first time at the IAA Commercial Vehicles (Hall 26, Stand C31).
