Witron: The Wibot drives autonomously
With the Efficient Mobile Picking (EMP) system, Witron recently presented a holistic solution consisting of logistics processes, replenishment control and "man-to-goods" picking using Wibots. In addition to the logic of the EMP system, the Pickmobiles developed by Witron are the central element. These navigate swarm-intelligently and driverless within the warehouse aisles. The Wibot supports the manual picking process. The vehicle is automatically guided to the picking station by the Witron EMP software. The software is also used for communication between the individual Wibots. Position scanners on both sides of the vehicle automatically record the barcodes attached to the rack locations, allowing the Wibot to find its way around the logistics center and automatically stop at the correct picking location.
