MHLC Europe 2020: impetus for new paths
One of the topics at the Material Handling & Logistics Conference Europe (MHLC) is what input start-ups can provide to question and optimize their own processes.
Initiated by Dematic, the networking event will celebrate its European premiere in Stuttgart on March 8 and 9, 2020. In addition to founders and companies, well-known personalities such as David Coulthard, former Formula 1 racing driver and Formula 1 manager Mark Gallagher will provide food for thought on new and digital approaches to supply chain management.
"In Formula 1, speed and efficiency are the basis for delivering successful results worldwide. This applies equally to our logistics activities and to racing itself," says David Coulthard.
On average, a new logistics start-up is founded every five days. The key issue here is the digital transformation of the industry, as only very few companies are exploiting the full potential.
fully exploit the potential. At MHLC Europe, start-up founders will also be providing food for thought for efficient strategies along the supply chain management. One of them is Philip Siefer, who founded Stickvogel GmbH and einhorn products GmbH. With the former, he launched a software-as-a-service solution for product personalization in e-commerce. This puts him in good company: in Europe, digital infrastructure and software solutions are the main areas in which start-ups are developing. In view of the increasing automation in intralogistics, where all processes are IT-supported, many companies in the sector still have a huge need for action and optimization. Best-practice examples will be on show at MHLC Europe.
