Storage and retrieval machine
Gilgen Logistics presents solution for high-bay warehouse
The "Performance" storage and retrieval machines (SRMs) are tailored to customer requirements in terms of space utilization, throughput, safety, operation, sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
"Due to the performance of our equipment, in many cases we can rely on single-mast equipment with one load handling attachment. This means we need less steel for the same performance, which has a positive effect on the price for customers," explains Thomas Riffert, Head of RBG Development at Gilgen Logistics. The latest generation can boast twice the acceleration of its predecessor model. The mast design and the absence of hydraulic buffers increase the storage capacity. The small parts stacker cranes can reach heights of up to 25 meters and the pallet stacker cranes up to 45 meters. Further advantages result from the consistent device design from the small parts stacker crane to the pallet stacker crane. The structure and individual components are identical wherever possible. This simplifies spare parts management.
