Savoye acquires SoCloz
Savoye, publisher and integrator of intralogistics solutions, is expanding its supply chain execution solutions to omnichannel retail.
In line with Savoye's growth strategy, the French logistics expert announces the successful acquisition of SoCloz, a publisher of SaaS omnichannel software platforms for brick-and-mortar retail.
SoCloz was founded in 2012 and has equipped more than 30,000 stores in 18 countries. The platform is used to set up all omnichannel paths both online and in-store (order entry, takeaway sales) by combining three systems: a POS system, in-store omnichannel order management and an OMS to manage in-store orders.
"The introduction of omnichannel is an important lever for overcoming the global retail crisis. It completely changes the idea of in-store software, as the checkout system will give way to a new type of software that is more global and capable of handling all in-store transactions. SoCloz's goal is to become one of the leading publishers of in-store software," says Jérémie Herscovic, founder of SoCloz.
The acquisition will create numerous synergies, including product synergies, with the aim of meeting the challenges of retailers' supply chains. It will also accelerate the international marketing of SoCloz with the help of Savoye's subsidiaries in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, China and Russia.
"The merger is triply beneficial for SoCloz as it allows the company to update its platform faster and market it internationally in the short term. All this is based on a solid shareholder structure that allows us to have a long-term presence, unlike many smaller competitors. SoCloz retains pole position in the race between manufacturers of software platforms for brick-and-mortar retail," adds Jérémie Herscovic.
"We are delighted to join forces with SoCloz, which will enable us to respond comprehensively to our customers' supply chain management needs and to the convergence of distribution centers and points of sale. This cross-functional approach is a key element in our strategic development," says Rémy Jeannin, CEO of Savoye.
