ProStore warehouse management system for glaskoch
Together with vialog Logistik Beratung from Harsewinkel, the family business glaskoch (owner of the Leonardo brand) redefined its logistics processes and commissioned TEAM GmbH with the introduction of ProStore intralogistics and warehouse management in February of this year. The detailed concept is currently being drawn up. The current predominantly paper-based operational processes at glaskoch will be replaced by dynamic order picking with mobile devices, adapted to the order situation. The 24,000 pallet storage locations are divided into 3,500 picking locations, 9,600 storage locations in the automated high-bay warehouse and various storage technology for the remaining locations. The single-deep automatic high-bay warehouse with six aisles and a storage and retrieval machine with transfer unit serves as a replenishment warehouse for the reserve picking area. The pallets are transported by 10 forklift drivers. Picking is carried out as single or multi-order picking, depending on the order volume and shipping method. In particular, promotional goods planned up to a year in advance for Easter or Christmas cause order peaks. In future, the up to 1,200 packages per day for CEP shipping will be tracked at up to 14 packing stations and all the necessary paperwork will be generated. For non-European shipments, a 100 percent inspection of the shipped goods is carried out.
