The Hamelin-based Lenze Group and Sonepar Germany launched a sales partnership on July 1, 2025. Sonepar is now an official "Lenze Performance Partner Distribution" and sells the automation specialist's products via branches and its own web store.

The focus is on the modular 'i' series, the decentralized drive system 'motec' and the 'protec' system. The aim is to facilitate access to drive technology for customers in Germany and expand the range of automation solutions.

"With Sonepar, we are not only gaining a strong sales partner, but also a driving force for the market. Together we are making modern drive technology more accessible and setting new standards in availability and service," says Dr. Marc Wucherer, CEO of the Lenze Group.

A framework agreement forms the basis of the cooperation. Among other things, close coordination in sales, a regular exchange of experience and joint customer support measures were agreed.

Concrete steps are planned for the coming months: The partners want to hold a technical workshop at the SPS 2025 trade fair in Nuremberg. A joint product campaign for the motec system will follow in the fall.
