Door travel stop from Efaflex protects against collision

A newly designed collision protection system: If the door leaf comes into contact with an obstacle or a person, the spring-elastic closing edge can easily deform in all directions. If a certain deformation path is exceeded from a trigger-relevant deflection, the latching connections on both sides of the door closure release, allowing the door leaf to separate from the guide pieces. Sensors report this condition to the control unit as a "crash", whereupon the door movement is stopped immediately. The door curtain then moves up to the upper end position without delay. The closing movement must be triggered manually via the control unit so that the door moves to the lower end position. It then engages fully automatically. Due to the easily deformable door leaf closure, a safety contact strip is not required.
