More protection at the loading ramp
The loading bay is without doubt one of the most dangerous work areas in the company. It is therefore important to recognize potential hazards at this focal point before serious accidents occur. There is a particularly high risk of accidents at open loading points if no preventative safety measures are taken.
People or industrial trucks falling from a 1.20 m high ramp can cause serious injuries or even death. The company faces high costs for personal injury and property damage, downtime, repairs and possibly legal disputes. Such serious consequences can be prevented with the right protective equipment.
The DOK-GUARDIAN safety barrier from Rite-Hite "guards" - as the name suggests - the loading point and protects personnel from dangerous ramp falls. The barrier belt made of red PVC-coated fiberglass fabric and 3 yellow polyester restraint belts presents itself as a conspicuous warning sign and makes the DOK-GUARDIAN a highly visible hazard warning that significantly reduces the risk of potential accidents.
The robust material of the "ramp guard" guarantees a high load-bearing capacity. The DOK-GUARDIAN can withstand a kinetic energy of max. 13.6 t with little or no damage. The 1.10 m high belt can be quickly and easily positioned manually by a single person and can be easily adjusted to opening widths of up to 5 m. During the loading process, the belt is safely wound up and stowed in one of the two side posts. The 1.20 m high steel posts provide additional protection against expensive collision damage to gates.
With its flexible design, the DOK-GUARDIAN is also ideal for internal safety precautions. Production facilities and industrial trucks can be physically separated to protect personnel.
The DOK-GUARDIAN can also be linked to the Rite-Hite Wheel-Lok vehicle locking system for seamless safety at the loading point.
