LogiMAT 2023
Customized drive technology for intralogistics from ABM Greiffenberger
At LogiMAT (April 25 to 27), ABM Greiffenberger will be presenting complete drive solutions in Hall 3, Stand 3B15. The system provider adapts these to specific applications and customers - always in close and cooperative partnership with the customer. In addition to system solutions for intralogistics, the supplier's focus in Stuttgart will be on digitalization and thus, among other things, on its new inverters.
System solutions for conveyor technology
These drive solutions include the highly efficient and dynamic motors from the Sinochron series. Without gearboxes, they are suitable as direct drives for small loads - in roller conveyors for loads weighing up to 180 kilograms. Thanks to their special design, the permanently excited synchronous motors are perfect for sensorless controlled operation. Due to their high power density, ABM designs the Sinochron series to be extremely compact. This means that the user can often choose a smaller motor and thus reduce installation space and energy consumption. The Sinochron series offers high system availability - an important advantage for the total cost of ownership. The drives also achieve a service life of up to 50,000 operating hours. Their properties make them suitable for roller conveyors, for example, which often have to transport containers of different weights over several kilometers.
Sinochron motors can be combined with gearboxes from ABM for large loads - for example for extended container or pallet conveyor technology. Various designs such as angular, helical and parallel shaft gearboxes are available for this purpose. With the FG182 and 282 offset gearbox types especially for container and pallet conveyor technology, users benefit from high permissible radial loads and universal mounting options. In addition, their low weight and compact dimensions make them easy to handle during installation.

ABM Greiffenberger sees itself as a driver of intralogistics
Drives for mobile and stationary applications in logistics centers come from ABM Greiffenberger. The company's portfolio includes motors, gearboxes, brakes and inverters, optionally for mains or battery supply, as well as drives for auxiliary units such as hydraulic pumps, compressors and fans, and ergonomic lifting aids.
The company will also be presenting a series of inverters specially developed for intralogistics in Stuttgart. This is available in three sizes with outputs of up to 2.2 kW. ABM thus covers all common applications in container and pallet conveyor technology. Installation via plug-in connections is quick and easy. The inverters communicate with higher-level control systems via Ethernet-capable bus systems. The frequency inverters impress with a high overload capacity of 250 percent. The decentralized solutions are suitable for field use close to the motor. They can be mounted both on the motor and on the wall. ABM Greiffenberger thus offers solutions for all applications in warehouse logistics - from small roller conveyors to pallet conveyors for large loads.
System solutions for mobile drive technology
As a system supplier, the company offers all drive solutions for forklift trucks for driving, lifting and steering. The motors, gearboxes and controllers meet the high environmental requirements, are particularly safe and allow sensitive movements even at low speeds. These drives also include the two-stage bevel gearboxes from the TDB series. These are easy to integrate thanks to plug-and-play, are powerful and energy-efficient. They offer a high power density with optimum efficiency. The compact bevel gearboxes are available with manual or individual steering as well as with an integrated electric steering drive. This can be completed with redundant sensor monitoring. This provides the user with a fully integrated system solution.
At LogiMAT, the drive specialist will also be showcasing electrically steered wheel hub drives with controllers for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), which can also be used in forklift trucks. Their extremely low installation height makes them particularly suitable for use in narrow vehicles. Electromagnetic holding and parking brakes ensure maximum safety during operation. Specific sensors are available for motor control, which record the speed, rotor position and winding temperature.
ABM will also be showcasing its compact and robust housing motors for use in e-mobility in Stuttgart. Optimized cooling conditions allow longer continuous performance in battery-powered vehicles under harsh environmental conditions. Users have a motor platform with a wide range of options at their disposal and can benefit from cost-optimized system solutions and thus reduce their drive variants.
