New Head of Life Cycle Service (LCS)
Kardex Mlog: Busch hands over to Rupp
Andreas Rupp (44) will become the new Head of Kardex Mlog's Life Cycle Service (LCS) Division with effect from July 1, succeeding Rainer Busch, who is retiring after eight years in this position.
Like his predecessor, Rupp is also a member of the Kardex Mlog management team in this position. Rupp joined Kardex Mlog in October 2020 and has many years of management experience in the service sector of machines and storage systems. Studies in electrical engineering, mechanics and business administration form the basis of his career to date. In his new role, he will continue to drive forward the digitalization of LCS and expand customer service as an important pillar in the Kardex Group's portfolio. Rupp is taking over a very well-positioned division whose processes have already been largely digitalized since 2013. During the Busch era, turnover doubled, while incoming orders rose by 120 percent and the margin increased significantly. Electrical engineering graduate Rainer Busch will continue to support Kardex Mlog as a consultant after his departure.
Andreas Rupp is convinced that LCS sales will continue to grow: "The importance of services as a success and economic factor will continue to increase because service quality plays a growing role in investment decisions." With increasing complexity and ever faster innovation cycles, "Kardex Mlog protects and maintains the customer's investment throughout the entire life cycle of the systems with highly available and precisely tailored services," says Rupp.
The handover that has now taken place was therefore well prepared. "Together with my team, I have set up the service organization over the last two years in such a way that the division can be continued after my departure without any frictional losses," emphasizes Rainer Busch. Today, LCS has outstanding and well-trained employees and managers in all service areas. These include the functions of deployment planning, sales including digital services, spare parts, warranty and hotline. "I am delighted that in Andreas Rupp we have found an experienced and technically skilled successor to whom I can hand over responsibility with a clear conscience," says Busch.
