Magnificent stage for Rolf Schnellecke
A glittering stage for Professor Rolf Schnellecke: on December 5, the automotive logistics expert was inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame at the Logistics Hall of Fame's annual gala reception in the historic Erich Klausener Hall of the Federal Ministry of Transport.
More than 250 guests of honor, including leading figures from the automotive industry and logistics, accompanied the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wolfsburg-based Schnellecke Group AG & Co. KG to the stage to great applause as he accepted the membership certificate made of glass and metal.
LT-manager is a media partner and member of the Logistics Hall Of Fame's circle of supporters, and editor-in-chief Martin Schrüfer has also been a member of the jury since 2011.
"The Hall of Fame members are visionaries, driving forces and pioneers. With their ideas, their innovations, their entrepreneurship and their courage, they have optimized and advanced logistics all over the world, ensuring growth and prosperity. With vision and determination, Professor Rolf Schnellecke has raised logistics in the automotive industry in particular to a new level. He deserves our thanks and respect for this," said Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer.
In short talks, VDA President Bernhard Mattes, VW Group logistics expert Thomas Zernechel and Schnellecke CEO Nikolaus Külps reviewed the history of logistics outsourcing and discussed the milestones and business models of the future. Rolf Schnellecke, who was Lord Mayor of Wolfsburg for ten years, is the 34th member of the Logistics Hall of Fame. He was chosen from 25 candidates from Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Serbia, Switzerland and the USA by 60 international jurors.
The Logistics Hall of Fame honors personalities who have made outstanding contributions to the further development of logistics and supply chain management.
