Ergonomic handling of KLT with vacuum tube lifter
The box gripper for the vacuum tube lifter Jumbo from J. Schmalz GmbH enables ergonomic handling of standardized small load carriers (SLC). It is used at picking workstations in the automotive industry, for example. With an average weight of

of 20 kilograms per small load carrier and 50 picks per hour, the vacuum tube lifter transports a total load of eight tons per shift. For the semi-automated loading and unloading of containers, trucks and unit load devices, Schmalz is presenting a technological development in the form of the CargoSwitch - a dynamically telescoping conveyor. With the CargoSwitch, stable unit loads up to a single weight of 50 kilograms and a maximum width of one meter can be picked up, aligned and transported. Automated palletizing, picking and sorting of cartons is also becoming increasingly important. Schmalz will be exhibiting the FXP vacuum area gripping system for handling workpieces of different geometries. Several workpieces can be handled simultaneously with just one gripper. In intralogistics, entire product layers often have to be palletized and depalletized. The SPZ-M layer gripping system with mechanical gripper support is ideal for this. The user can use it to handle pallets, cartons and film packaging.
