Martin Schrüfer,

Trade fair fever

Dear readers, many a marketing department is groaning and cracking: LogiMAT is barely over and the industry is already calling for CeMAT in Hanover.

The coming together of the two top intralogistics trade fairs in one year comes at the right time: Industry 4.0 is now really shaking up the sector. There are endless opportunities to breathe new life into the three favorite terms of all intralogistics marketing experts: "efficient", "error-free" and "customer-oriented". Because what is going on out there right now is by no means old wine in new bottles, but nothing less than the birth of a technical revolution. It will permanently change logistics, the world of transportation and all of our lives.

I look forward to meeting you in Hanover at the end of May - regardless of whether your company has recently been named the best logistics brand or not. With more than 2.5 million people working in logistics, around 1,300 postcards and online votes in a recent trade magazine poll is a negligible amount of data.

So if there has to be a "best", its obvious advantage over competing brands must also be proven. Or as LT-manager columnist Anita Würmser recently put it so aptly: "Anyone who ranks brands bears a great responsibility to ensure that they are not damaged. This makes the demands on the methodology of a brand award all the greater." There is nothing to add to this.
