materialfluss editor-in-chief Martin Schrüfer invited the top three companies in each category to a web seminar. There it was then decided who came in third and second place - and of course who would be able to place the trophy for this year's Readers' Choice Award in the entrance hall of their company.

The presentations were recorded and can be viewed as part of a visit to the virtual trade fair materialfluss WORLD + CONFERENCE. Registration for the trade fair is free of charge.

Autostore System won the storage and picking technology category with its Black Line system solution, while start-up Symbic came second with its Logistic Lights solution, ahead of ICO, whose StoroJet shelving system came third.

In the container category, bekuplast's Universal Tray for Containers was the favorite of materialfluss readers, with the MB Food & Delivery reusable container from BITO in second place and the "Magic Box" from Gamma-Wopla in third.

The race was also very close in the conveying and lifting technology category. Gebhardt Fördertechnik's StoreBiter 300 is the material flow PRODUCT OF THE YEAR, followed by the SRBS rope balancer (J. Schmalz) and Knapp's OSR Shuttle Evo+.

In the industrial trucks and AGVs category, Gebhardt Fördertechnik was once again awarded the materialfluss PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2020, this time with the GridPick AGV system. Linde Material Handling's H20-H35 combustion forklift series took second place, followed by Hubtex AirCargo Mover in third place.

In the logistics category, Contargo made an exclamation mark with the material flow PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2020 - readers saw the logistics service provider's efforts to create a green supply chain at the forefront. In second place: nox for its parcel stations with a parcel lock system, followed by Group7 (inventory by drone - an idea that also won the LogiVisor Award in summer 2019).

The materialfluss PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2020 in the Software category comes from Stuttgart: viastore Software was crowned the winner by materialfluss readers for its viaDAT warehouse management system. Gebhard Fördertechnik came in second place with the Galileo IoT software project. Third place went to 4Flow with its 4Flow Vista logistics and transport planning system.

Last but not least, LASE won in the Ident Technology category with its LASE AFM freight measurement system. ProGlove's intelligent glove Mark 2 came second, while readers voted the LFM100 laser marker from Bluhm Systeme into third place.
