Cosco currently has 24 new ro-ro carriers in its order book, which are to be delivered from mid-2024. In future, the fleet will consist of 29 ships. During this test run, the BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven team was responsible for unloading, handling and preparing 530 imported vehicles for onward transport. The Cosco Shengshi will be loaded with around 1,000 vehicles and high & heavy goods.

"We are delighted that the shipping company Cosco Shipping Car Carriers has chosen Bremerhaven. This is an important boost for future imports from China," explains Axel Bantel, Managing Director Sales at BLG Automobile Logistics (pictured: third from left). He continues: "Chinese manufacturers continue to gain in importance. As an important hub for the international automotive industry, we want and need to participate in this development."
