XSTAFF opens location in Hamburg

On January 1, 2023, logistics service provider XSTAFF will open a new location in Hamburg, taking into account the continuous growth of recent years and at the same time sending a clear signal for the future.

The new premises are located directly on the River Elbe, in the immediate vicinity of the Port of Hamburg. The new location will be managed by Antonios Rigalos, member of the Executive Board and Chief Growth Officer of XSTAFF. Parts of the Procurement & Operations division will also be managed from this location. For Bodo Knop, Chairman of the Board of XSTAFF GmbH, the opening of a branch in the city on the Elbe is a forward-looking step for the company: "If we want to continue our successful development of recent years, we need to move even closer to the international markets and, above all, their key players. With this in mind, Hamburg was our first choice as the leading logistics location in Northern Europe with its highly developed port."

Focus not only on sea freight

A step that had become necessary primarily due to the continuous growth of XSTAFF since the company was founded in 2016. In 2021, over 100,000 TEU of cargo volume was moved for the first time via the company's own network, which now includes over 50 service providers and partners. The number of members has also risen steadily and now also stands at around 50 companies and associations from industry and trade. "In order to be able to continue to provide our services at a high level in terms of quantity and quality, we naturally have to keep adapting the structural framework conditions accordingly. From this perspective, the opening of the location in Hamburg is ultimately only the logical consequence of the development of recent years," explains Antonios Rigalos.

A decision that takes on added significance in view of XSTAFF's expanded service portfolio. In addition to its core competence in sea freight, the company has built up additional expertise and developed innovative solutions in the air and rail sectors. "Our customers will of course be able to call on this logistics expertise across all modes of transport from the Hamburg location in the future.

For this reason too, the opening of the office in Hamburg is certainly a milestone in the development of the company, from which our members in particular will benefit enormously as users," Antonios Rigalos is convinced.
