"As the largest Latin American economy, Brazil offers enormous growth potential. This applies in particular to the metropolis of São Paulo, which is one of the most populous cities in the world and has developed into the country's economic powerhouse," says Ulrike Baum, Chief Human Resource Officer and member of the Global Executive Board at Röhlig Logistics.

While the logistics service provider has now entered the Brazilian market under its own name, it has been active in the country for more than 30 years. Ulrike Baum explains: "Until now, our long-standing agent Figwal has represented us in Brazil. We would like to thank the entire Figwal team for their successful cooperation over the past three decades."

Röhlig has appointed Rodrigo Simoes as Managing Director for Brazil. The 42-year-old has almost 20 years of experience in the logistics industry and was most recently Managing Director for Brazil and Colombia at Senator International. Simoes says: "I am very much looking forward to this new challenge. The Brazilian market offers many interesting business opportunities, especially in the automotive and industrial sectors. Our focus will be on offering a full range of high quality services, including air freight, ocean freight, road transportation and customs clearance. We will also focus on agile operations to respond to all customer needs as quickly as possible."
