Refrigerated logistics center: Makro commissions ID Logistics

ID Logistics has been commissioned to operate a new refrigerated logistics platform by the catering and hotel wholesale company Makro. The 16,000 square meter logistics facility is located in the Getafe industrial area of the Madrid metropolitan region.

All temperature levels covered
With around 140 employees, ID Logistics takes care of the management and distribution of 3,800 different fresh and frozen products in all temperature levels at this location. The contract also includes transportation at full load and with vehicles at three temperature levels. According to Makro's plans, ID Logistics will manage more than 119 million kilos of goods per year and supply hotels, restaurants and catering services as well as 37 Makro locations throughout Spain. Cross-docking facilities will also be added.

The contract logistics service provider operates over 275 locations in 17 countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa with a total of 5.5 million square meters of warehouse space and employs around 19,000 people.
