Nordfrost enters fresh food logistics
Schortens, 07.06.2018 - Nordfrost will also enter the fresh food logistics market in the second half of next year. The company wants to launch simultaneously at around 20 locations throughout Germany. To date, Nordfrost has mainly been active in frozen food logistics.
The synergies that arise when storing both frozen and fresh products at one location are to be exploited. The company currently has 708,000 pallet spaces for frozen storage, some of which have already been converted to fresh storage. In fresh food logistics, the company has so far mainly operated as a warehouse keeper and, to a very limited extent, as a fine distributor. Of the company's 37 warehouse locations, certain bays at ten properties are to be used for fresh produce storage in future.
