The cooperation covers the entire product range of large and small household appliances as well as air conditioning systems from the Midea, comfee` and Toshiba brands. The contractual partner of pfenning logistics is Midea Europe GmbH, the European subsidiary of the Chinese high-tech group.

With over 150,000 employees in more than 200 countries, the Midea Group is active in attractive business areas: consumer electronics and air conditioning, robotics, industrial automation and logistics. The Group is the world's No. 1 in consumer appliances, the world's No. 1 in air treatment, the world's No. 1 in large appliances and the world's No. 1 in small household appliances. Operations at the Philippsburg logistics site will start at the beginning of 2021 with the Midea product portfolios of air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers, household appliances and small kitchen appliances - more than 400 items in total. "We see the pfenning logistics group as a very strong partner with whom we can develop sustainable logistics solutions and innovations for our European central warehouse," says Ralf Buss, Director Finance & Operations at Midea Europe GmbH. "The logistics services that pfenning logistics will provide include warehousing, spare parts stocking, order picking, outgoing goods to various B2B and B2C customers and returns handling. In the medium term, we are planning to set up a warehouse outlet and an academy for installers and technicians," explains Buss.
