Goldbeck Bau on schedule

Logistics properties for Nosta Group to be completed ahead of schedule

Around 120 days after the ground-breaking ceremony, the construction of the new logistics halls for NOSTA Logistics GmbH on Lengericher Strasse in Ladbergen is right on schedule. The commercial properties planned and realized by the Münster branch of Goldbeck Nord GmbH will even be completed well ahead of the contractually agreed deadline of mid-November. Goldbeck project manager Andreas Wermelt and site manager Björn Schubert will hand over the keys to the two new multi-user warehouses to Nosta by mid-October at the latest.

"Goldbeck Nord offers us the full program for the construction of our new warehouses. At the beginning there was a blank sheet of paper, in the end we get a turnkey commercial property," says Mark Olyschläger, internal project manager/technical manager at Nosta Logistics GmbH. The two warehouses cover an area of 15,000 square meters, in which up to 30,000 pallets can be stored and there is space for the provision of additional logistics services. The warehouse floor was completed last week. This is an eminently important part of the building for logistics properties, as the entire service provision takes place on it.

When asked about the reason for the rapid construction progress, Goldbeck project manager Andreas Wermelt answers simply: "A high degree of prefabrication and well thought-out system construction." Goldbeck Nord is not only responsible for the planning and implementation, including tendering, commissioning and acceptance of the individual trades independently. The company operates its own plants for modular precast concrete parts. Piers and columns, for example, are not formed as individual pieces in the open air on the construction site, but are prefabricated as a standardized industrial product in the factory hall. The elements are then assembled on the construction site using the Lego principle. This means that Goldbeck not only largely eliminates negative weather influences. "The typical improvisation in construction, which makes so many projects more expensive than estimated and unpunctual, is steered into more efficient channels," says Wermelt, applying the maxim: "As much craftsmanship as necessary - as much industrial series production as possible."

With this project, the Nosta Group is continuing its series of collaborations with Goldbeck Nord. Following the construction of a 10,000 square meter logistics hall in 2014 and a three-storey office building in 2015, the two halls are the third major project for the logistics company. Mark Olyschläger, Nosta Logistics GmbH, says: "Goldbeck is working flat out to ensure that we can put the new building into operation as quickly as possible." Being able to use the new space earlier than contractually agreed is a major business benefit for the logistics service provider. The multi-user warehouses will be equipped with high racks and open spaces for block storage.
