Refrigerated logistics hall in Bochum
Nagel-Group has completed the construction of the new refrigerated logistics hall in Bochum. With 20,000 new pallet spaces, the site is expanding its capacity to over 55,000 spaces. The opening of the refrigerated logistics center took place as part of an employee event. The project was implemented together with the owners Rolf and Uwe Kappel, who invested in the expansion of the logistics site.
The ground-breaking ceremony in October 2021 marked the start of the construction project on the 44,000 square meter site in Bochum. The building complex was completed on schedule in late summer 2022. "With the expansion of our contract logistics space, we can now handle further extensive customer projects," says Björn Heinermann, Branch Manager of Nagel-Group in Bochum. "The state-of-the-art technology also offers us additional opportunities to expand our range of services."
The Bochum branch invited employees, partners and families to the opening ceremony. The inauguration of the new building complex took place as part of a summer party. "The new logistics hall is another great milestone in the successful development of the Bochum site. A big thank you to the entire team for their great work over the last few months. And now we are looking forward to bringing our new colleagues on board with the expansion," says Björn Heinermann.
Nagel-Group is recruiting for both industrial and commercial positions at its Bochum site and offers apprenticeships for various professions every year. The expansion will create up to 100 new jobs in one of Nagel-Group's most modern refrigerated logistics centers with various temperature zones.
