New lever solution with E-Drive

The new lift with e-drive from Hovmand is an innovation in lifting technology. With the help of the motorized rear wheels of the lifting device, several hundred kilograms can be moved and lifted effortlessly.

"It's a revolution for the industry, that's for sure. I see the lift as a new era for ergonomic lifting solutions." These are the words of engineer Niklas Hasforth Eliasen from Hovmand. He is one of the developers of the new lift. When the engineer calls the lift "revolutionary", he is referring to its new e-drive function. This feature ensures that the user of the lift has to exert considerably less effort and is exposed to less physical strain than with manual transportation. Motors are built into the rear wheels of the lift and the handle is equipped with sensors. When the material needs to be moved from A to B, the user places their hands on the handle and exerts light pressure - the sensors detect the direction in which the user is pushing, pulling or turning and assist them by starting the motor; similar to an e-bike. The built-in motors enable frictionless and effortless movement over soft floor coverings such as linoleum. In addition, the lift is easy to turn and maneuver - even in tight production areas and storage facilities.

Hovmand's lift with e-drive retains the steel design of the company's many other lifting solutions and can be customized to meet companies' needs. The handle is adjustable, the leg sets can be adjusted to the desired length and width and the lifting column height is variable. In addition, various tools can be attached to the lift, depending on what a company needs - for example, gripper arms, a fork, a clamping and rotating unit or a platform. This means that the lift can be used to lift and transport anything from drums and rolls of film to crates and buckets. Companies that already have a Hovmand lift can add the new e-drive function to it.

In the standard range, the lifting solution with e-drive can lift loads of up to 150 kg - if companies require a greater weight capacity, they can contact Hovmand to find a solution. The new lift with e-drive has been developed and produced at Hovmand's headquarters in Køge, just outside Copenhagen. It is specifically designed to make the working day effortless and the handling of heavy materials easier and safer, explains Niklas Hasforth Eliasen: "The e-drive lift is the latest step towards true ergonomics."
