Optional full cab for the Crown C-5 gas-powered forklift truck

Crown is offering an optional full cab for its C-5 gas forklift launched in May. The automotive-compliant cab is particularly low-vibration, as it rests on vibration dampers and is therefore decoupled from the chassis. At Terex Trucks in Scotland, for example, the Crown C-5 is used to transport wheels, axles and heavy loads.

The trucks are used to transport parts from the warehouse and often also supply the production lines with components from outdoor storage areas. All the forklifts used there are therefore equipped with the full cab. "Our operators in particular are delighted with the C-5. The cab is spacious, easily accessible and solidly constructed," praises Kevin Cooper, Section Leader at Terex Trucks. Inside the cab, everything is designed with ergonomics in mind. Textured and sound-absorbing surfaces and fabrics reduce background noise to a minimum. The sturdy quick door opener and the long, strong door handle enable quick and convenient opening and closing and provide optimum leverage for the large lockable and removable doors. The controls for the heating, fresh air supply and defroster are integrated into the right-hand door. This provides more legroom and also makes it possible to get in and out on the right-hand side.
