IFOY 2019
Winners of the IFOY Award honored in Vienna
On April 26, the winners of the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award, or IFOY Award for short, were announced at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna: Representatives from Cargometer, Jungheinrich, ProGlove, The Raymond Corporation, Still and UniCarriers Europe each received a trophy in front of more than 600 invited guests from business, politics, science and the media.
Great jubilation, start-ups honored for the first time
A total of 15 solutions and devices were nominated in six categories for the seventh round of the intralogistics competition, and the jury voted on the winners after a three-part audit. However, the result remained a secret until the IFOY Award Night. There was great jubilation when the six laudators revealed the well-kept secret of the winners in the Grand Ballroom of the Vienna Hofburg. "Both in the start-up category, which was awarded for the first time, and in the five other categories, the decision was once again close. The three-part audit during the IFOY Test Days already showed that some of the nominees are streets ahead of their competitors on the market in terms of degree of innovation and customer benefit," emphasized Anita Würmser, Executive Chairwoman of the IFOY jury.
Determine freight rates precisely
A Viennese company won the trophy in the Intralogistics Software category. Cargometer GmbH was honored for its On-the-fly Freight Dimensioning. The Austrians launched a tool for freight measurement on a moving forklift truck. Companies can use it to determine freight rates more accurately and thus increase their revenue.
