Marvin Meyke,

Electric tug in narrow design

Jungheinrich presents the latest version of its EZS 130 electric tow tractor. With a width of just 600 mm, the truck is designed for maneuverable small parts transport in a space-saving tugger train.

This makes the tractor particularly suitable for transporting luggage trolleys at the airport or for transporting small parts in industrial companies. Thanks to its even more powerful 24 V traction motor with three-phase technology, the EZS 130 can tow different trailer types up to a total weight of 3,000 kilograms.

Long operating times

The improved drive technology of the EZS 130 enables higher efficiency with good energy management. Regenerative braking with energy recovery enables long operating times. Jungheinrich offers the EZS 130 both with a tried-and-tested lead-acid battery and with modern lithium-ion technology. The EZS 130 can be charged during every break via a convenient charging interface for the lithium-ion battery. As an option, the EZS 130 has an integrated 24 V charger that enables easy charging at any 230 V mains socket.

Enlarged entrance area

Thanks to the new vehicle design, the entry area of the tractor has been increased by 70 mm without changing the basic vehicle dimensions. The new, particularly low standing platform enables comfortable and safe mounting and dismounting. The frame of the EZS 130 is made of sheet steel and now has an extra high frame skirt on the front hood.

Electric steering is provided by the height-adjustable Jungheinrich jetPILOT. Thanks to the new design, the lowest adjustment range has also been further optimized for smaller drivers, enabling fatigue-free working.

curveControl increases safety

Flexible adaptation of the driving characteristics to requirements and automatic speed reduction in bends by curveControl contribute to safety. Optionally, three driving programs can be selected via softkey. Integrated LED daylight increases the visibility of the vehicle in poorly lit areas. An optional floor spot reduces the risk of collision in blind spots by means of red or blue light spots on the floor.
