2D bulk singulator
Increased efficiency in parcel sorting
The demands on intralogistics processes are growing - especially in the areas of e-commerce and express delivery, handling volumes are increasing and customer expectations are also rising. With the 2D bulk singulator, Wayzim offers a solution for separating parcels and consignments.
In addition to narrow belt sorters and matrix sorting systems, the company's solution portfolio also includes a 2D bulk singulator. The system is used in the area of parcel sorting and optimizes the incoming goods process by precisely sorting the shipments. At the heart of the singulator are area scan cameras that are able to precisely locate parcels in real time by using image processing and deep learning technology developed in-house. An algorithm is used that enables the precise identification of even difficult-to-recognize consignments, such as envelopes, waterproof packaging or black parcels.
High detection rate
The software is also connected to the control system, which enables the system's various control units to automatically separate and align parcels. In this way, the parcels are arranged in an orderly sequence according to the specified spacing and are fed into the downstream automatic sorting systems one after the other for further processing. With a system output of 10,000 pph (parcels per hour) for small items and 7,200 pph for large items and a recognition rate of 99.9%, the singulator increases efficiency and improves sorting accuracy.
Steven Wang, General Manager at Wayzim, emphasizes: "The 2D bulk singulator combines advanced image processing technology with precise control to ensure efficiency and reliability at the highest level. In this way, the system contributes to the automation of logistics processes and supports companies in handling complex e-commerce logistics with high handling volumes and order peaks that are often difficult to predict."
