Today, Auer Packaging is in a solid position in terms of both energy (thanks to its own energy supply via PV systems and power heat pumps) and production technology. The construction of a third production hall created further conditions for a stable production process, even in uncertain global times. "Even in times of corona, we are able to produce and deliver to the usual extent. Our material stocks are well stocked, which means that we can currently produce for another six months without any restrictions and meet all delivery deadlines," explains Robert Auer, Managing Director of Auer Packaging.

Containers for sensitive products
Auer Packaging's hygienically perfect, easy-to-disinfect Euro containers ensure the safe and hygienic transportation of sensitive products, especially when supporting system-relevant industries in times of crisis, such as the pharmaceutical and food industries. The medium-sized family business produces around 42 million containers per year on its 50,000 square meter site in Amerang in Upper Bavaria with around 100 employees in three production halls and a total of 33 injection moulding machines.

Auer Packaging obtains the plastic granulate from the companies Basell in Münchsmünster and Borealis in Burghausen, which are only a few kilometers away. Auer employees also have short distances to their workplace: Over 80 percent come to Amerang from a radius of no more than ten kilometers. Both the headquarters and the production facilities are located there. With the fully automated high-bay warehouse currently under construction, Auer is taking a further step towards concentrating on the Upper Bavarian location.

The container manufacturer
Auer Packaging specializes in the production and sale of plastic transport and storage containers. The company offers cross-industry products for the storage and transportation of solid and liquid materials in all sizes. The product range extends from open-fronted storage bins, shelf and material flow bins (C-parts) for rack storage to round or oval containers for the chemical and food industries, stackable KLT containers, large load carriers, Euro containers, system boxes, protective cases and pallets in various sizes and designs. Auer Packaging has enjoyed constant growth for years, with strong growth in 2019. The company produces around 42 million plastic containers per year. Its customers include Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Bosch and VW. Annual turnover amounted to 100 million euros in 2019.
