EPAL Germany supports aid measures for Ukraine
EPAL Germany is now supporting Europe's largest medical aid organization, action medeor e. V., and aid transports for Ukraine, which are organized by colleagues from EPAL Polska, with pallet and cash donations.
EPAL Germany delivered 500 EPAL Euro pallets to action medeor e. V. on April 6. The pallets, which were produced with the active support of a licensee of EPAL Germany, are to be used for aid shipments to the Ukraine. Action medeor has been involved for over 50 years and, as the "emergency pharmacy of the world", is committed to improving the health of people around the world by providing medical aid, medical technology and disaster relief. A dedicated distribution center for medical supplies has been set up in the Ukrainian city of Ternopil. Hospitals throughout Ukraine are supplied from there.
Dr. Angela Zeithammer, Head of Marketing and Communications at action medeor: "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to EPAL Germany for the donation of 500 EPAL Euro pallets. The pallets will enable us to send urgently needed aid to the crisis areas and support the people directly on the ground."
EPAL Germany is also donating €10,000 for the coordination of aid transports, support for Ukrainian EPAL licensees and the organization of aid offers for refugees. Together with the Polish national committee EPAL Polska, transports of relief supplies directly to the crisis area and other aid measures have been organized since the beginning of March.
"We cannot stand idly by and support the people on the ground," says Suzane Giurlando, Managing Director of EPAL Germany. "Our thanks go to the dedicated staff at action medeor e. V. and EPAL Polska, who are doing an incredible job. Structured commitment is particularly important here to ensure that the aid has a targeted impact."
