Loading standardization in transport robotics
Wiferion comes to Logimat as Puls Wireless
Wiferion presents itself as Puls Wireless at Logimat 2024. Also on board: more than 20 robot manufacturers, where users can see for themselves the benefits of contactless energy supply in practice.
Standardization is currently one of the most important topics in mobile robotics. In this context, Wiferion offers inductive power supplies for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). For the first time since the acquisition, Pulse is presenting the Wiferion brand as a new charging standard in mobile robotics. The fact that Wiferion charging systems are now specified in the specifications of major automotive groups underlines this positioning. Trade visitors can find out how the charging technology supports them in optimizing and standardizing transport processes with wireless charging. More than 20 OEMs will be charging with Wiferion systems at Logimat - a particular advantage for mixed fleets.
Puls, a specialist in DIN rail power supplies, acquired the business of wireless charging specialist Wiferion in fall 2023. The company offers the new compact inductive Wiferion charging system with an output of one kilowatt, which has been specially developed for small goods-to-person robots. Wiferion is thus closing a gap in the market, as there was previously no reliable wireless charging option in this fastest-growing segment of mobile robotics due to the compact design of the small AMRs. The new mobile charging unit is compact and integrated directly into the charging pad. A sophisticated cooling system prevents excessive heat build-up. At the same time, the one-kilowatt system offers all the advantages of the larger models, such as high positioning tolerance, maintenance-free operation and a fast start of energy transfer in one second. The fast charging system is the first Wiferion product to be produced by Puls in its own factories to ensure the highest quality standards.
