Transport robots
With the "X MOVE" transport platform, ek robotics has developed an automated guided vehicle (AGV) that is at home in both worlds of automated transport systems. As an autonomous mobile platform AMR, X MOVE provides a quick entry into transport robotics; as a virtually guided vehicle AGV, X MOVE becomes part of a more complex system.
In this new development, which the company recently presented to the public for the first time at LogiMAT 2022 , ek robotics combines the advantages of both technologies in one transport platform. The X MOVE can be used either as an AGV (automated guided vehicle) or as an AMR (autonomous mobile robot). Designed as a compact platform, X MOVE can be equipped with various load handling attachments - depending on user requirements and transport solution. X MOVE is available in three different versions: 300, 600 and 1200 - the numbers here indicate the maximum payload in kilograms.
The transport robot supports the VDA 5050 interface and is therefore designed to meet future requirements. The aim of this standard is to ensure that all automated guided vehicles (AGVs) within a production facility can be controlled via a single fleet management software, even if the vehicles come from different manufacturers.
The faster a transport robot has to travel through bends, the further the safety laser scanners have to anticipate and safeguard the route. With the X MOVE, the protective fields of the safety laser scanners are dynamically activated by reliably detecting the speed and steering angle information. The result: the X MOVE not only achieves its maximum speed on a straight line, but also gets the best out of bends, according to the manufacturer.
