Elokon acquires stake in startup Filics
Filics is developing an autonomous transport robot: two mechanically unconnected skids drive independently into Euro pallets, lift them and move the load directly and digitally controllable.
The system will redesign processes and enable completely new processes - from classic load carrier transport to efficient, fully automated floor storage. The first industrial tests in the automotive industry, freight forwarders and food logistics will start this fall.
The seed round was led by the venture capital company 10x, with the participation of Elokon Ventures GmbH, Robotics Ventures, the Initiative for Industrial Innovators, and Dr. Klaus Dieter Rosenbach, former Chief Technology Officer of Jungheinrich AG.
"We were particularly impressed by the professional fundraising process of the young Filics founding team," says Alexander Glasmacher, Managing Director of Elokon. "We believe in the strong use cases for the patent-pending Filics solution and see a great synergy potential between Filics and Elokon. We look forward to supporting Filics as a co-partner in the development, marketing and sales of the transport robot. Next, we are planning a "TechChallenge" in which Elokon development staff will "challenge" the Filics solution in the interests of even better product development. We have also invited Filics to exhibit their product at the Elokon stand at LogiMAT 2022 in Stuttgart."
