Production expanded and optimized

With the commissioning of the new production hall in Waldershof, Upper Palatinate, CUBE has created additional production capacity and at the same time fundamentally streamlined its production processes. The company, which is primarily known for its high-quality mountain bikes, had combined the commissioning of 6,800 m² of production space on two levels of a newly built hall at the company headquarters with comprehensive process optimizations. CUBE was founded in 1993 in Waldershof (Upper Palatinate) by Marcus Pürner. The company is now the market leader in several European countries in the medium and high-quality mountain bike and road bike segment. The brand is now available from specialist retailers in 60 countries worldwide. The current product range consists of 180 different mountain, racing, cross, triathlon and e-bikes as well as trekking bikes. Ergonomically adapted women's and children's bikes and an extensive clothing and accessories collection complete this range.

During a visit to LogiMAT, contact was made with the specialists from NeoLog, who were also awarded the project. Alex Valencic, project manager at CUBE, recalls: "NeoLog was the quickest and most convincing to respond with concepts and offers. We worked very well together, as you can see from the load carriers for frames." There is space for 24 bicycle frames each on the staging trolleys created with the 28 mm Logiform tube clamping system.

NeoLog

Founded in 2015 in Landshut, Lower Bavaria, NeoLog is a young provider of customized production and operating equipment as well as pipe clamping systems for lean manufacturing solutions. With a team of specialists, NeoLog plans, designs, builds and supplies ergonomic solutions for lean manufacturing and assembly processes, from individual side tables or work tables to complete production lines. In addition to its own pipe clamping system, NeoLog offers various standard market technologies to provide its customers with the best possible advice and also makes these available quickly via an online store. Since the end of 2016, NeoLog has been offering Osaap shadowboard solutions, another innovative component for optimizing internal logistics or production.

Numerous flow and small parts racks made from NeoLog components provide the material for the assembly workstations on the conveyor belt running over two floors. Thanks to the lean processes designed together with NeoLog, the bicycle manufacturer was able to significantly reduce its inventories. At the same time, production capacity was increased by 30 percent.
