Bott Group takes over workstation specialist Elabo

The Bott Group has acquired Elabo GmbH, a specialist in workplace systems, measuring and testing equipment and test systems.

"With the acquisition of ELABO GmbH, we see additional opportunities and growth potential in our industrial workplace solutions business segment. We can now offer our customers a broader range of products and services. ELABO GmbH is strongly anchored in the field of electrical laboratory workstations and assembly and test systems. In recent years, the Bott Group has focused on the area of industrial assembly workstations. We see clear synergy effects in both business areas and believe that together we can continue to grow in both markets. For this reason, the acquisition of ELABO GmbH is an important milestone for bott from a strategic point of view," says CEO and spokesman of the Bott Group Jan Willem Jongert.

Elabo GmbH has been manufacturing and selling workstation and test systems as well as electronic measuring and testing devices since 1972. According to the company, Elabo is now one of the leading companies in the development and manufacture of networked workstations and automated measuring and testing technology. Elabo is also setting "new standards in the digitalization of production processes and intelligent worker guidance systems".

The company currently employs around 185 people at its Crailsheim site. Crailsheim will remain a competence center for digital transformation, networked working environments and automated test systems. The previous Managing Directors Timo Henkelmann and Dr. Mark Dolezal will continue to manage the business of Elabo GmbH.
