Trade fair starts with more exhibitors than expected
SPS 2025 exceeds the expected number of exhibitors and clearly focuses on Industrial AI. Visitors will gain in-depth insights into the latest developments in automation on several stages and tours.
SPS - Smart Production Solutions starts in a week's time. The number of exhibitors announced in September has been exceeded: Around 1,170 companies will be presenting their solutions in Nuremberg. For the automation industry, this is a clear sign of stability and development momentum - despite the difficult economic situation.
"Exceeding the predicted exhibitor numbers clearly shows how important the SPS is as a central platform for the industry. Visitors will not only find the entire spectrum of smart and digital automation here, but also numerous new solutions and technologies that address current challenges," explains Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President SPS.
Industrial AI in focus
The focus of the trade fair is Industrial AI. AI is seen as an important driver for more efficient production processes and will shape the program on all stages. Presentations, discussions and practical examples provide orientation and background knowledge.
The "Industrial AI" topic block on Wednesday at the Technology Stage powered by VDMA/ZVEI in Hall 3 (10:40-14:10) is particularly extensive. Among other things, there will be a keynote speech by Prof. Martin Ruskowski, Chairman of the Technology Initiative SmartFactory KL e.V., on "The role of AI in production and IT-OT convergence" and a panel discussion entitled "Artificial Intelligence - Challenges, Opportunities and Use Cases in Industrial Services" with representatives from Eaton Electric, Weidmüller Interface, Siemens and Endress+Hauser.
Guided Tours
The free guided tours offer an ideal opportunity for all visitors who want to see concrete applications and experience in-depth insights into future-oriented automation topics. These include the 'Next Gen Factory Automation' tour from SmartFactory Kaiserslautern, which shows applications relating to AI, digital twins and security twice a day.
