How complex requirements become manageable

WoMH

Megatrends such as digitalization, automation and new energy systems are fundamentally changing processes in logistics and goods handling. At the industry event "World of Material Handling" (WoMH, from today until June 15 in Mannheim), leading industrial companies are presenting a showcase of the current possibilities - and making a promise.

"Simplexity. The Art of Smart Solutions.": This is the motto of the World of Material Handling event. A slogan that can also be interpreted as a promise: "We show our customers how to make complex requirements manageable through the use of modern technology," says Christophe Lautray, Chief Sales and Services Officer at Linde Material Handling. The company has set itself the goal of making intralogistics processes more efficient, more cost-effective and safer at the same time.

The World of Material Handling is taking place for the third time every two years, this time at the Maimarkt exhibition center in Mannheim. Products and solutions on various topics will be on display until June 15: Automation, digitalization, energy systems, safety and intralogistics.

Live demonstrations of typical customer applications - such as loading and unloading trucks, storing goods or order picking - will be on display in the 13,000 square meter event area. In addition, the more than 5,000 visitors can expect specialist presentations and individual customer advice.

In addition to the "host" Linde Material Handling, the largest exhibitor is Dematic, a leading global provider of state-of-the-art, integrated supply chain automation technology. The companies Continental, Grammer, Blaxtair, Durwen, Kaup, Ravas, Vetter, Actil, Balea, Exide, Fronius, Hoppecke, Meyer & Bolzoni, Midac and Plug Power will also be represented at the trade fair. Integrated into the various exhibition areas, they show that intralogistics also thrives on cooperation and networking on the part of manufacturers.

"It is important to us that our customers don't just see the latest trucks," says Linde CSO Christophe Lautray: "At the World of Material Handling, we want to convey an impression of what is possible when trucks, technologies and solutions interact." This applies in particular to online retail: "When hundreds of thousands of products can be delivered within a few hours, the processes in the background have to work like clockwork," says Lautray.

Every day, a dedicated online editorial team reports on the event highlights with news, interviews, videos and photos.
