Hörmann acquires majority stake in Italian company Pilomat
Since December 28, 2016, the door and gate manufacturer Hörmann has held seventy percent of the shares in the Italian company Pilomat. In Grassobio near Bergamo, Pilomat is one of the world's leading suppliers of barriers to prevent unauthorized access to property areas by cars or trucks.
Pilomat, a company with more than thirty employees, specializes in the production of fixed and retractable bollards and road barriers of all kinds, which are used for property security and access control. The products are sold through specialist dealers worldwide.
On December 28, Christoph Hörmann, personally liable partner of the Hörmann Group, signed the contract to acquire seventy percent of the shares in the company. The remaining thirty percent will remain in the possession of the owner family Toffetti. Bruno Toffetti will remain in his position as managing partner and the company will continue to operate on the market under the name Pilomat.
"The Pilomat product range expands our offering in the area of site and building security. We would like to use the international Hörmann structures to expand the distribution of Pilomat products. Mr. Toffetti is an experienced managing director who knows the market for these products and has successfully managed the company for many years," says Christoph Hörmann.
