Prof. Klaus-Michael Kühne, President of the Kühne Foundation and honorary member of BVL, Martin Ohlsen, Dr. Stefan Oswald, Head of the Sub-Saharan Africa Division, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Dr. Martin Keßler, Engagement Manager at McKinsey, discussed the topic "From humanitarian logistics to the Marshall Plan with Africa". The Marshall Plan with Africa initiated by the German government is intended to fundamentally change development cooperation between Africa and Europe and will cover all important economic and educational sectors, including infrastructure, transport and logistics. The large-scale, long-term projects represent both major challenges and opportunities for investors, planners and operators. Prof. Dr. Helmut Baumgarten from the Technical University of Berlin and honorary member of the BVL acted as moderator.
