The first BVL hackathon was also held in 2017. The task was to use a data set of sound sequences to train a machine that classifies an unknown sound sequence as accurately as possible. The teams had to solve four subtasks, which were evaluated separately: Music Detection, Mood Identification, Audio Tagging and Elevator Pitch.
