Business needs contact. This has always been the case, and it remains so in this year of contact restrictions. The coronavirus has done nothing to change this. All important trade fairs have been canceled until the summer, even though they were previously considered indispensable for a functioning industry. That is why the specialist publishers WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN and WEKA FACHMEDIEN have joined forces to create a virtual alternative.

By the beginning of June, 15 top companies from the intralogistics sector had already booked their virtual stand as exhibitors at materialfluss world + conference (in alphabetical order): AM-Automation, Auer Packaging, Element Logic, Gamma-Wopla and Smart-Flow, Jung Hebetechnik, Gebhardt Fördertechnik, Geek+, ICO, Linde Material Handling, PSI Logistics, proLogistik, Purus Plastics, SSI Schäfer, Stöcklin Logistik, TEAM, Unitechnik and viastore - with more to follow.

The topics and products that the companies are bringing to the trade fair are exciting. For example
SSI Schaefer will be presenting manual to fully automated solutions from the picking segment, including a robotic solution for single-item picking, the SSI Carrier overhead conveyor technology for e-commerce and omnichannel applications and the Logimat warehouse lift with Logisafepick.

At viastore, the focus is particularly on the integration of logistics and production processes. Plastics expert Gamma-Wopla from Belgium will be exhibiting the colored Smart-Flow hygiene pallets SF 800HYG and SF 1000 HYG and is looking forward to virtual contact with trade fair visitors: "We are now invited and have the opportunity to get to know and appreciate new interactive ways of establishing and maintaining contact with (potential) customers. Getting to know our products and experiencing them for the first time will now take place interactively, without the initial "hands-on testing". And the excitement and curiosity of wanting to experience the product live offers us the opportunity for a second in-depth customer contact," writes Michael Cibois, Sales Manager at Gamma-Wopla and Smart-Flow. Gebhardt Fördertechnik is also excited about the virtual trade fair: "The virtual exchange is not time- or location-bound, interested parties can access the content flexibly and according to their personal schedule - 24/7," writes the company.

Computer&AUTOMATION world & conference, Kunststoff-Magazin world & conference and INDUSTRIAL production + handling will take place at the same time on the virtual exhibition grounds. Visitors can visit all four trade fairs with one ticket and also take part in the joint conference program with numerous web seminars.

Visit free of charge

Participation in the trade fair is free of charge for visitors after registration. They will receive an overview of technologies, solutions and products for industrial manufacturing, automation, assembly and intralogistics at the stands in the halls and at the conference. Various packages are available for exhibitors.
