Jungheinrich shows high lift trucks with lithium-ion technology
CeMAT is traditionally Jungheinrich's most important trade show and the international stage for presenting innovations. At CeMAT 2011, Jungheinrich was the first manufacturer to present a production-ready lithium-ion truck, followed by the new generation of self-developed lithium-ion batteries in 2014,
which can be charged for an entire shift within 30 minutes - a quantum leap in energy storage concepts. The successful development continues in 2016 and Jungheinrich launches further series trucks with lithium-ion technology on the market. These include the EMD 115i high-platform truck with a load capacity of 1,500 kilograms. The battery, which weighs just 14 kilograms in the shape of a briefcase and has a capacity of 40 ampere hours, can be charged quickly and easily using the built-in charger. Designed for use in retail and warehouses, the vehicle follows the new design concept and is characterized by an extremely compact construction and a very small turning circle.
